I currently have the Auralic Aries (full femto version with Auralic LPS). Has anyone directly compared this unit to the SoTM SMS-200 Ultra? If so, how do they compare - is it an obvious upgrade or more of a sideways step? Also, can someone explain to me the need and benefit of the tX-USB Ultra - or is this not required with the 200Ultra? Are there any other options I should consider, that would provide an obvious upgrade over the Aries?

Up for sale is my SOtM sMS-200Ultra 12v, one od the finest sounding network players on the market with the superior sCLK-EX clock board inside. This is a 12v version which is rumored to sound better than the lower voltage version (my previous regular sms200 sounded better on 12v than on 9v with the same power supply, so I bought the 12v of the Ultra), and will benefit immensely from a good 12v linear power supply, although it will work with just about any 12v switching mode power supply. The unit is in perfect working and visual condition, and updated to the latest Eunhasu firmware.During next week I will be on vacation in Croatia (EU) and will be able to ship the sms200Ultra from there, which means no duties and customs for EU buyers. The EU retail price is around 1350€, I am looking at 950€ for mine including registered shipping. The unit will be shipped in its original packaging. I am selling it only because I wish to try the new 4000€ dCS Network Bridge (which might not even sound as good as this one), but I can't help myself, the audiophilia nervosa is too strong
