I've been looking around for about 2 months and I've come up with some good suggestions to what I could get, but I'm not completely sure yet ofc. Idk if it affects anything but i mostly game when using headphones I've been looking at the AT2020 for the microphone (XLR version), and maybe the Scarlett 2i2 with it. Then I've looked at many headphones and can't come up with anything, i know i like some bass (but that is also the only I've ever heard from headphones other than cheap earplugs) PS. I dont have a specific budget, and if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

How do you do, I am looking for a solution for my dad's audio system: 1) Tablet app (iOS or Android) with *large fonts and easy interface* to browse albums on remote PC via WiFi 2) PC software that will work with the app. Ideally should be able to play DSD files. 3) Lower priority: The software should auto load/unload music if a USB storage is plugged in. The PC will output via USB into a Marantz SA8005 (D2A) (-> NAD M3 -> MA PL200). I'll likely get an Intel NUC PC or something similar. 4) I will welcome suggestions on the PC as well: Low power, small, fanless, SSD, reliable. Thank you!

Hey everyone, i'd appreciate some help or tips for using JRiver. I am trying it out to see if I like the interface as well as the iphone/ipad remote control apps for JRiver better than Itunes. First question is there anything I have to do within the settings to get bit-perfect audio out from the program? I just imported my music, some apple lossless, some FLAC and hit play and the "bit perfect" light is on...so I assume i'm good on that front, the only thing i set was, the disable volume setting. (I'm running a toslink out from from Imac) Second question is what are your preferred setting/layout for the interface? How do you use it and how is your library set up? Some screen shot would be helpful. Im just interested in getting the most out of this program to see if I like it more than itunes + Amarra. Thanks!

I started using Foobar2000 for the first time today after having purchased a Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus. At first I was utterfly confused by the program, but after some messing around I started to understand how it works. I spent a few hours creating my own layout, and I'm quite pleased with the results. I then became interested in knowing how everyone here has set up their Foobar2000 layout and thought people might be interested in sharing. Here is my current layout

I'm using sparky usbridge(dietpi&allo gui system) connected to hydraz, then coax to dac. When playing pcm through squeezelite, everything is fine. But when it goes for dsd native output, dsd stream can not be detected by hydraz and of course no sound can be heard. Then I tried the dac's internal xmos interface. DSD native output goes fine. I guess this indicates incompletely supporting for sparky, right? So can someone help me get hydraz worked for native dsd playing on sparky?
