  1. The Peachtree Audio family of stereo integrated amplifiers, speakers and DACs all follow their modern sound design philosophy. Make it sound great, make it simple and make it beautiful. They achieve a unique balance of these qualities to offer what we believe are the best integrated amplifiers with DACs, headphone amps, power amps, speakers, and USB DACs for computer audio. A Peachtree stereo system complements any environment, whether it's used for desktop audio or as the HiFi in your living room. The unique look and sound of a Peachtree is as easy on the eyes as it is to your ears. Peachtree Audio nova150 - First of a New Generation In 2007 Peachtree Audio introduced a new integrated amplifier that immediately and forever changed the amplifier landscape. This amplifier - our original Decco - was groundbreaking for its time. It had a unique industrial design with an aluminum front panel, a simple button and knob user interface and a rounded wood case finished with beautiful veneers. Inside, it housed a class A/B power amplifier, a tube buffer visible through a window in the front panel and, most significantly, a USB input with built-in DAC to accept a direct connection from a Mac or PC! "Computer audio" was born, with Peachtree's Decco and Nova amplifiers on the leading edge, and with computer audio a defining part of Peachtree's identity. We now introduce nova 2.0 . . . a completely new generation of Peachtree integrated amplifiers that reimagines the original concept and takes it to an even higher level. Nova 2.0 is the culmination of everything Peachtree has learned as a leader in computer audio, plus a few new things they hadn't gotten to - until now. To take full advantage of the new engineering team, Peachtree moved the nova from a reputable manufacturer in China, to one of most skilled in micro and macro electronics manufacturer Canada. Peachtree will still have product like deepblue, remote controls, BT1 and the like manufactured in the far east, but the most complicated and important core product like nova have the advantage of the new factory. Peachtree PCB’s have been very nice the last few years, but by electrical standards, the new PCB’s are like electronic jewelry. And the grounding system is now better than ever allowing totally silent circuits to do their job. The new factory actually specializes in high-end medical equipment. The kind of equipment that if there’s noise on the line, or if it fails, people die. As detailed and complicated as the 2.0 circuits are, this facility was the perfect choice. The Integrated Amplifier… Reimagined Highlights ESS Reference 9018K2M Sabre DAC 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and 5.6MHz DSD (double-DSD) compatibility New generation ICEPower amplification - 150 watts per channel Extensive internal grounding Designed by a world-class engineering team Asynchronous USB, Coax and (2) Optical inputs Asynchronous iOS input for direct digital input from Apple Lightning devices Phono (MM) input Home Theater Bypass Loop feature to add an external tube buffer, EQ or other processor into the signal path Discrete, custom-designed headphone amplifier Optional Wi-Fi module to be announced Available in Gloss Ebony Mocha, Natural Santos Rosewood and Piano Black Made in North America Stunning Results Peachtree Audio takes great pride in what they have accomplished with the new nova150. It accommodates virtually every type of music source people use today, from spinning vinyl at home to streaming audio from the cloud. They've ushered in an impressive new suite of technological advancements - from the DAC through the power amplifier and at every step in between. This new nova is designed around tried and true audio engineering philosophies to ensure exceptional sound quality and superb measured performance across the board. The new novas - there are more to come! - are truly the most beautiful and exceptional sounding products Peachtree Audio has ever made and are every bit deserving of the designation nova 2.0. We hope you choose to make one a part of your musical life. We are confident that if you do, you will love it! "Simply stated, If you haven’t heard Peachtree 2.0, you haven’t heard Peachtree." Exclusive members only offers – Throughout the year we’ll have exclusive offers that are only available to our club members. Group buy-in opportunities – We love the idea of offering products at reduced prices on the condition that a minimum number of buyers would make the purchase, so we will be working closely with manufacturers and distributors to find some great products for our Club Ciamara members. Equipment trade-up program – Our lifetime trade-in program will allow club members to trade in components that were purchased from us for credit towards their next purchase. Here’s how it works: The new item must be at least double the value of the trade-in item* (e.g. a $500 item must be traded in for an item that sells for $1000 or higher). Club members will receive up to 100% of their original purchase back in credit towards their new purchase (excluding tax and shipping costs). If the item that is being traded in is a current model, then the club member is eligible to receive 100% in credit. If the item is not current, then the club member can receive up to 66.67% in credit towards their next purchase. Trade-in must be received in good, working condition with the original box and accessories. If these conditions are not met, then the value of the trade-in will be reduced at Ciamara’s discretion. * Not everything is eligible for trade-in, so if you have any questions about whether an item is eligible, please contact one of our sales and/or support experts. 3. Hi Folks, My first post here - just got re-introduced to nice audio reproduction. I wonder if anyone has used a Synology NAS and its Audio Station app with an integrated amp, such as the NAD D3020, connected via USB. I own a NAD D3020, constantly amazed by it, and Sonos Connect to render music via coax. Sonos works pretty well with my crappy, almost useless, NAS (Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive Cloud Edition) for 16/44 flac files. A caveat of Sonos is its inability to render above 16 bit/44 kHz files. The DAC in the D3020 can do it but the stupid Iomega has no chance at bridging the connection. The ideal setup is to upgrade our NAS to Sonolgy and have it render music to the D3020 via USB because we don't want to connect/disconnect our laptop every time we want to play 24 bit files. NAD supplies drivers for the D3020 to function downstream of my PC. My guess is that USB direct from Synology to D3020 might not work without drivers for the Synology control software. Alternative suggestions or solutions appreciated! Plan B is a media server such as CAPS or other instead of Synology and adding Synology later. Thanks!
  4. Hello members. I am a new and glad to be here. Hopefully someone can help me out I have gathered up some entry level gear which suits me well, as I travel a fair bit. Currently I run am running Foobar2000 to an ARCAM rPAC DAC, to a pair of Grado SR60’s. My source consists of a Lenovo Thinkpad, Core i3 processor with, 4GB ram. All M4a’s are on an external HDD, connected via USB. For entry level the dynamics of the setup are great (have to love the SR60’s). However I find the integrated headphone amp in the DAC lacks the ability to drive the SR60’s to high volume - the amp seems to run out of steam. The volume does get loud but is far from the “blistering” level that I have been told it should reach, (not that I would listen to blistering volume). So far I have: 1. Checked all of the volume settings (I know of) with no result. 2. Turned off the power management on all USB Hubs, no effect. 3. Attempted to bypass Windows KMixer by loading an ASIO driver into Foobar, hoping this will remove any volume restriction in Windows 7, (which I read has volume output issues). Foobar2000, output now set to ASIO, has mapped the left and right channels (as I can hear them) but the rPAC DAC is still showing a standard MS generic USB audio driver. This would lead me to believe that the music is still being streamed through KMixer. And the volume issue remains. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. Folks: The recent Absolute Sound review (January 2013, pp. 106-111) of the NuFOrce DDA-100 integrated amplifier is very interesting, certainly for desktop and small room applications. I am curious about the perceptions of CA members about the relative merits of this emerging "pulse-width-modulation" type of all-digital amplification technology. Certainly comments by those here who have listened to this amp would provide an interesting contrast to the Absolute Sound review. Mike
