Pathos Aurium Headphone Amp - MINT
Hailey posted a topic in Buy & Sell Audio and Computer Components
Purchased new in December for $1350. Approximately 75 hours of very happy use. Selling reluctantly here and on eBay. $850 including shipping within the continental United States. The Pathos Acoustics Aurium headphone amplifier integrates perfectly with any home head-fi system, fitting neatly in a desktop system or in an audio rack with other gear. It paired magnificently with five different headphones, each with a different sonic signature and power needs. If you’re looking for versatility, great sound, and great looks, this is your headphone amp. The Aurium can easily drive high-impedance headphones like the Sennheiser HD 800S drive and the Audeze LCD-3 with richness and slam. Dynamic scaling and contrasts are always convincing, and with every kind of music. It reproduces with great timbral acuity the rich textures of violins, woodwinds, pianos, and horns, and with a spectral balance that doesn't emphasize any one sector of the audioband. It never sounds pushed or strained, tipped up or bass heavy. The Aurium exudes class, its case fashioned from fine-grained aluminum, the top plate perforated on each side with three parallel rows of ventilation holes; toward the rear, the two EH6922 tubes rise from the top plate just over an inch. I can't say enough about the Aurium. It's just a great piece of equipment.
