I'm at the end of my rope: I have ~3000 wav songs accumulated over the past 25 years with no metadata, and I've spent untold hours trying to set up a music player on my Windows computers (7 & 10) to listen to them. Sequentially in folders, and gaplessly; a simple folder/tree-based menu. I've installed a dozen reputed players and futzed with them for hours, but wind up with nothing to show but an ugly screen and an endless random string of totally unorganized songs - and that's a positive outcome. My only player for the past 10 years is through a media USB input on a Samsung DVD player, which structures my folders perfectly. It doesn't offer much flexibility (through my hi-fi only) and, drat, it isn't gapless. I'd be grateful for anyone who has knowledge of a music player solution, or where next to seek one. Or if I'm stuck with the Samsung player.

Seems everyone has very specific, even finely tuned preferences as to how they enjoy their music listening setups. Now with digital we have so many more options! I found it somewhat overwhelming in the beginning, and still find parts of the system confusing and confounding! I wonder if others are as curious as I with regards to how YOU listen to YOUR Digital setup. Preferred format: DSD, FLAC, ALAC, .Mp3... Player/Renderer of choice? Which Server software/hardware? Asset, JRiver, Foobar, Kazoo, etc. Storage on NAS, dedicated hardware.....or? Do you like/use a streaming service? Which one(s)? How do you organize/sort your way to play tunes? By Folder, Album, Artist, Jukebox, ..etc Biggest issue/problem currently, or in the past... Thanks for sharing! If this has already been done, well, I couldn't find any threads... looking forward to reading about you all! BigBadger

Hello Not sure this topic has been covered, but I am interested in knowing how you organize large libraries in your iTunes. I organize with playlists, divided in folders organized by decades and genres. Any idea or different experience ? Some of the folders are in portuguese, but it is understandable in english. I still use ITunes 9 in my main computer, I hate iTunes 11.
