I installed Dietpi on my Sarky and USBridge and got it to work. I can configure the software using the HDMI and a keyboard but I don’t get a GUI when I type dietpi.local. What software do I need select to install from the dietpi-config screen? thanks

I'm using sparky usbridge(dietpi&allo gui system) connected to hydraz, then coax to dac. When playing pcm through squeezelite, everything is fine. But when it goes for dsd native output, dsd stream can not be detected by hydraz and of course no sound can be heard. Then I tried the dac's internal xmos interface. DSD native output goes fine. I guess this indicates incompletely supporting for sparky, right? So can someone help me get hydraz worked for native dsd playing on sparky?

Hi! I got a new USBridge with DietPi, my intention is to use Squeezelite. My DAC is a Soekris 1101 USB DAC. I connect the DAC and power it on. It shows the 44khz - led while it waits for the source to connect. Then I power on USBBridge and wait until it boots up. The result is, that I don't get any sound at all: Squeezelite is "enabled" (which is a sign that somehow it recognizes that a DAC is connected, because without the DAC connected, Squeezelite stays "disabled"). However, Squeezelite refuses to play tracks. Prior to buy the USBridge, I got myself a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and I installed PiCorePlayer in order to try out the compatibility of my DAC. It worked without problem. Given that I got it to work with a RPi, I thought I could buy a USBridge with no risk. Even more so, as the DAC is natively supportet by Linux according to the manufacturor. Some additional information: The power should not be the problem, as I connect the DAC through a device that cuts the USB power supply from USBridge and adds power from a clean (linear) source. If I connect the DAC directly, it does not power up (I suppose, USBridge does not deliver enough power). This setup works flawlessly with the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and PiCorePlayer pCP4.1.0. While it boots, the 44khz-led switches off on the DAC. This is not a normal behaviour. Normaly, it remains on normally, or it switches to another value. This might indicate some issue on the communication between DAC und USBridge. Any possible solution??? And: I suppose that PiCorePlayer would not work properly on a USBridge, supporting the clean USB-port? Or would it? If yes, this would possibly resolve the issue for me. And if yes, how to... I am not familiar with eMMC - flashing... If it helps if I provide Log-Files or similar, please let me know how to get them, I am a complete newbie (I manage to SSH into DietPi with putty, but I have no idea where and how to find the log-files). I found that when playing dsd files, dac can only get PCM signals. Could I make it locked in dop mode when playing dsd? Hi there. I've got a Piano 2.1 + Kali + Sparky combo from Allo; I'm using DietPi (currently installed version is v6.25.3). I know how to set the "DacPlus" in dietpi-justboom, but I don't know how to enable kali (with the dtoverlay thing normally, passing glb_mclk to the boot process). Thanks!

This is my second system from Allo. First system, USBridge & Sparky with ifi Audio and Audiophonics PSupplies sounds fantastic and was relatively easy for a noob (to SBC digital) to set up. This one, however, has me stumped. Bottom to top consisting of Sparky with pre-loaded eMMC, Kali with jumper pulled and its own ifi Audio PS, topped with a Piano 2.1. This is to feed the Volt+ Double separate amp. The issue is no audio output from the Piano 2.1. Everything configured (seemingly) fine during first boot and the amp works great by itself with a MP3 player as an input. I went into alsamixer and tried to match everything to Allo's chart for the Piano 2.1. The "Auto Mute" settings don't want to toggle when directed, but I can't really tell what their state is set to. Hard to read what is inside the box on the GUI bargraph. DietPi v6.11 wired ethernet connection, configured just as I did my first Sparky. Roon sees and selects the cluster as a Piano DACPlus, but lists it 3 times as "atm7059_link" and type as ALSA. Roon is outputting to the ethernet URL of the Sparky and gives no errors. I don't know what to check next. I don't have much knowledge of Linux so please be specific with commands and procedures you wish for me to run. Thanks, Bob C.

Has anybody else have the same configuration that works on WiFi? Running either Dietpi with squeezeplay or Volumio yields same result. WiFi works fine without Allo Boss card. With Allo Boss DAC on top WiFi no longer connects UNLESS I have Ethernet also plugged in and connected. This is the weird part, with Boss I can ssh via Ethernet. I can also ssh Pi from WiFi IP. Remove Ethernet cable and WiFi stops leaving Pi unreachable. After days of trying everything it became apparent this is hardware related. Today I removed the power jumper from the Boss board and used 2 power supplies, one for Pi, one for Boss. WiFi will then connect only if I power up Pi first. If I power up at the same time or power Boss first then no WiFi. When I do get WiFi the OS turns off audio and squeezeplay wont run because it wont load the Boss drivers presumably. Manually forcing the OS in Dietpi to use the Boss kills WiFi again. Infuriating how much time I have wasted with this straight out the box. Squeezeplay works fine with no Boss card and Pi onboard audio. This is with a fresh image of Dietpi which I have also reflashed several times to start form scratch. Also could there be some conflict in resources between WiFi and Boss driver? Have I got a faulty Boss board? Has anyone else out there got this setup that works? BTW, I am also using Allo relay attenuator, which has been removed until the Boss works. Also using standard Allo 5v 3A power supply. Have tried another known good power supply.

Hi there; I've recently purchased a bundle featuring a Sparky, Kali, Piano2.1, and accessories. I see that there are some features on the Sparky board that aren't documented anyplace I can find: a battery hookup (with a blinking red light?!) some volume switches, an IR sensor... I'm building an audio player pc, have lots of experience with Linux and Debian, and am interested in whether I might be able to use these features. Can someone from Allo help me out?

Anyone else seen this? I downloaded the DietPi (with Allo UI) image from the link given in the Allo PDF for DigiOne. Installed onto an SD card in my RasPi 3B and every thing worked fine. The DietPi text menus worked via SSH and the Allo UI worked through a browser. The DietPi then suggested that an upgrade to v6.26.3 was available. I took the upgrade (answered lots of questions) and afterwards the DietPi text menus continued to work as did the audio output. The Allo browser UI is broken however - I get Login Failed every time (and I have changed no passwords from their defaults). If I re-image the SD card back to the suggested Allo image then everything is OK - take the upgrade and the UI is broken again. Its not stopping the functionality - and the DigiOne is indistinuishable from CD to my old ears - BUT, it is annoying that the Allo UI is consistently broken by the DietPi update. Anyone got any solution?

I have been experimenting with setting up a Sparky Roon Ready I2S Streamer running Dietpi. The chain is a Sparky connected to Ian Canadas McFifo and McDualXO boards then outputting I2S to an Audio gd I2S LVDS HDMI module. This is connected to the I2S input on my PS Audio DS Junior DAC but after some time trying I have not able to get music to play. Everything is powered okay and Sudeep verified that the I2S cable connections were correct. I suspect the problem is with wrong settings in the Dietpi setup and this is not recognising the chain. With Sudeep's help I added: snd-soc-pcm5102a snd-soc-allo-hifi-dac to the etc/modules successfully and the HifiDac option shows up in Roon but I'm not able to get music to play. I did test out the toslink option straight out of the Sparky and that worked okay but of course that is not the sound quality I'm looking for. I also tried Volumio but that didn't work either and came up with an ALSA error. I'm hoping someone can help. Thanks!
