Get 25% off Made In Brooklyn When Purchasing on HDtracks Using Code CPUJOHN “John McEuen fires up a Hootenanny jamboree to brighten the dark tale of Warren Zevon’s “Excitable Boy” - The Alternate Root "Just listened to Made in Brooklyn, wow! Here you go! One of the most authentic auditory reproductions I've ever heard. The spatial representation is incredible!” - Gardner Cole "People of any age should enjoy this foray into several of the traditional musical genres this country has produced" - John Lawless, Bluegrass Today "Made in Brooklyn’ deserves a GRAMMY® in either Americana or Bluegrass categories – or both." - Christian Lamitschka, Country Music News International "Only a musician of McEuen’s stature could pull off a project that covers songs from Warren Zevon to Flatt and Scruggs, and from Boudleaux Bryant to Bernie Leadon, with perfect aplomb." - Vicki Dean, Herald Tribune Made in Brooklyn, the new album from Nitty Gritty Dirt Band co-founder, John McEuen, is available now. The album is a time capsule of American Roots music that features guest performances from the likes of Steve Martin, David Bromberg, David Amram, John Carter Cash, and a dozen other well known stars of the genre. Featuring both original material from John, as well as unexpected covers such as Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy", Made in Brooklyn is a “music-to-your-ears” audio feast. Part of the Chesky Binaural + Series, all recorded with a single microphone, the band appears right before you with this spacious, lush and multi-dimensional recording. Now headphone users will hear the same three-dimensional sound and imaging as audiophiles have for the past 25 years with Chesky Recordings. Also these new Binaural+ Series albums capture even more spatial realism for the home audiophile market, bringing you one step closer to the actual event. You will hear some of the most natural and pure cool music ever recorded.

  3. Computer Audiophile users get 25% off Down Home Blues from Noah Wall when using code CPUNOAH on HDtracks "There's something about Noah Wall's voice that went straight to my heart, she's the real deal!" - Steve Guttenberg, Audiophile Critic "Noah Wall’s "Down Home Blues", is full of life and a positive energy, and the use of Binaural recording gives the music air, I felt like I was sitting down on the floor, bourbon in hand, with the band just a few feet away." - Harris Fogel, Mac Edition Radio Those that follow Chesky Records closely will recognize the voice of Noah Wall from our previous recording, From The Mountaintop. Now back with her own band, Noah Wall lets her voice shine through on this stunning example of classic Folk sensibilities with a modern twist. Down Home Blues mixes traditional Folk songs with new original material showcasing Wall’s songwriting as well as vocals. Noah is also the lead singer, fiddler, and founding member of the award winning acoustic band "The Barefoot Movement." Now based in Nashville, TN, the group continues to rack up the miles, touring both domestically and internationally. Wall's songwriting skills can be heard in the majority of the band's original material, which has been compiled onto three full length albums. The group's notoriety continues to grow through features in such publications as Country Weekly Magazine, RollingStone.com, CMT Edge, and Billboard.com. In 2014, they were presented with the Momentum Award for Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. Declared "one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene" by CMT, the band is still going strong, bringing shoe-less excitement to every performance. 9. COMPUTER AUDIOPHILE USERS GET 20% OFF STRIPPED FROM MACY GRAY ON HDTRACKS WITH CODE CPUMACY20 "Sounding beautiful in the surroundings, you can hear the clicks on the bass strings, and the brushes on the side drum as it shuffles and dances sedately onwards. Over the top is ‘that’ voice, which was always (at least on the evidence of this) destined to be comfortable and (probably more importantly) authentic within Jazz. It’s so authentic, you can almost smell the tobacco stained late night club. Brilliant stuff." - Jim, Backseat Mafia "This album comes to life in a pair of headphones." -Allie Martin, Black Grooves "Macy Gray Is Back and Better Than Ever" - Elias Leight, Vogue "This record showcases Macy Gray in what might be her bona fide persona. Gray is a throwback to the early days when jazz singers were not pretentious, but had to rely on their innate talent to carry the tune with raw emotion and sensual grace. Let's hope Chesky and Gray hook up again for an encore performance. " - James Nadal, All About Jazz One Of The All-Time Greatest Voices Joins Chesky Records One of the most iconic and instantly recognizable voices in music history is back in a way you've never heard before. Now for Frequency Plots of Track 11 "Sneak": On the first frequency plot you can see the microphones response is nearly 35Khz. To the left of the second frequency plot you can see the rising frequency response and increased ultrasonic noise floor caused by post processing of the dummy head frequency rolloff. To the right you can see the characteristic apodizing digital filter used in the MSB Studio ADC (I can recognize this response now as unique among ADCs used by studios)
