I've used lyngdorf, fantastic system. Also used mini dsp with Dirac which is great and unlike the lyngdorf, you can set your own curves. Now I have active speakers which have eq incorporated into them. Big fan of all dsp rc I've used so far Sent from my iPhone using Computer Audiophile

Headphone out from laptops are typically garbage. I mean bottom of the barrel quality. That said, you'll love the impact from an external DAC but you don't have to spend thousands. You'll get excellent results from any of the schiit, ifi or other quality DAC manufacturers for hundreds. Unless of course you have money burning a hole in your pocket. Honestly, that's the best speaker review I've ever read. My current speakers the Avantgarde zero pro are in the same vein as these (except being horns). Fully digital, time aligned 3 way system. Really the future of hifi, Imho. I learned a lot, thanks.

Deqx is great. Also mini-dsp Dirac series. Simpler and cheaper then trying to rig up a PC between the Sonos and DAC Sent from my iPhone using Computer Audiophile
