Thank you Kal. There is no dearth of good performances of this piece, thankfully. Regarding the SACD, I just ordered one to Oppo-rip.

On the whole, I think I prefer the version headlined by Kathleen Battle, but Rosemary Joshua sings the role quite winningly, and the recording overall is wonderful.  I'm happy that I now have two beautiful versions of this gorgeous "secular oratorio" by the incomparable Handel.

I love all of Järvi's Strauss recordings!  (and his Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, etc, etc lol!  Even if I later find a version I prefer to his, he has led me to so much musical bliss over the years!)
