Hmm... The Telemann fantasias for solo instruments are quite short in general except for the harpsichord set (TWV33, around 2 hrs 45 min). Not chopping that one up would be quite brutal. But the rest could be gulped down whole quite easily. In any case, all of Telemann's solo instrument fantasias have made appearance on this thread before

One of Dinah's best.  Aside from her standout vocals on this album, Clifford Brown's solo on the all-instrumental version of Gershwin's "Summertime" is beyond blistering.  Once you hear it, you'll never forget it.

I just bought a 24/96 FLAC of this and started with the 11th--wow! It might not be quite as scalding as Mravinsky's, in which the Leningrad Phil plays as if their lives depended on it (perhaps they did...), but it is plenty intense on its own. Superb sound, and man, those bass drum eruptions will give your woofers a workout!

I did not know this was out - at least in FLAC format - the physical release is slated for August, as per DG

 

This is fantastic - even better than his Chicago set.  Of course, such traditional approach can be well, not sure if "controversial" is the word, but sets like Chailly's  get more attention and praise this days..

 

Great if you like that a approach. Very refined sounds from the Staatskapelle and recording captures lots of the hall ambiance; first time I hear of the Pierre Boulez-saal, but it must be  a wonderful venue
