PeterG
Gorgeous! Plus, from a functional perspective, I love that all the MC2152 connections are in the back, as opposed to the left and right side connections of the MC275. The Computer Audiophile 1 Link to comment

Deyorew
Too bad the preamp doesn't have a built in DAC. I guess that's what their high end dac is for. I wonder if it integrates well with this preamp. I actually really like the new power amp too. Nice design change from the 275. More power than the 275. Classy looks. I will be curious to see what the non LE version ends up selling for. As a McIntosh owner, these are true eye candy. Wish I had the funds and space to do a simple dedicated 2 channel setup with this duo. AudioDoctor
22K, if not marked up, and all 70 sold out within an hour. However, McIntosh will be making them for a 1 year run afterwords, to be sold individually, price TBD. No electron left behind. Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
Per my article above: ”Once these systems are gone, again only 70 of them will be made, each component can be purchased separately. The MC2152 70th Anniversary Vacuum Tube Amplifier is $15,000 USD and the C70 70th Anniversary Vacuum Tube Preamplifier is $7,000 USD.” AudioDoctor 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

Shadorne
Beautiful. McIntosh sound beautiful too. Not perhaps as resolving as Audio Reseach but McIntosh tube amps and preamps have that “just right goldilocks” sound and much better reliability. Link to comment
Ossidian
I find the 70th Anniversary Amplifier to be not a classical McIntosh look and further more not my taste. Looks like they married some cues from Prima Luna and Audio Research and combined them inconsistently. The specs of the MC2152 are rather impressive and I am confident it sounds stellar. I prefer the classic look of the 50th Anniversary Amplifier MC2000. However I do like the C70 preamplifier.
