micro iusb3.0 + Gemini3.0 + ipurifier2

I have Hegel H360 with usb2.0 input. I want to add micro iusb3.0 + Gemini3.0 to my setup. However, Gemini3.0 has usb3.0 port which is not compatible with my usb2.0. I was adviced to add ipurifier2 as an adaptor after Gemin3.0 and before my dac usb2.0 input. I know that micro iusb has all ipurifier2 features. Is this setup makes any sense sound quality wise. Or should I just buy Gemini usb cable which has usb2.0 connector. Since my initial setup is quite pricey. Love to hear pros and cons of my setup.
