Vardilon, welcome to the Forum!!
Sorry, this is a bit late for BF, but it is still cyber Monday today.

You need to consider that the source material (Youtube, usually MP3/192 or game's sound) does not get much better with more sophisticated Headphones and amps. You may invest for the future, because imho you will particularly take advantage from your investments at the moment you will use higher quality source material (Lossless music, HiRes or DSD) to listen to, as better equipment usually should help to hear the difference in source quality. You bear the risk that better equipment also points out the weakness of the used source.
I still remember me listening to Mike Oldfields "Tubular Bells" CD at a friends 100k system: I never heard this record sounding more worse than there, and I started listening to it with a 150 Euro all-in-one Stereo-Recordplayer in 1976. The source (a nice price CD pressing) was pants, and the highly resolving system made it ABSOLUTLY pants!

Back to your demand, I have just shot an Topping NX4 DSD DAC and portable Headphone amp at Big A (Co.Uk), which is delivered from Shengzen Audio in China. They also have their own website in English with paypal payment. Portable means, you can use it at your comp/system and with your mobile phone.
It is well tested on different audio related sites and was about 102 GBP/130 Euros/USD including freight. If you are interested, be careful, an older model is also listed there for 85 GBP or so.
AFAIK, it is available @ audiophonics.fr as well, but the price is different.
It is replacing a faulty Dragonfly Red, which was for 2 years a very good companion for the daily needs with my headphones (HD650, IEMs and Superlux 618), but just offers not enough options compared to the Topping.
When looking for the replacement I was also looking for the iFi Nano BL (I already own the iFI iDSD BL), but It does not offer more for double money.
Hope that helps, Tom

Hi again, @Vardilon,

sorry, it was absolutely not intended to confuse you ? . That may have it source in two not native english speaker writing/reading users.
Happy, you got your schiit parts ordered.
For your questions:
1) It usually depends on the soundcard/soundchip used on your computer (Motherboard or dedicated). Usually its detected automaticall, but submenues are available in the system.

2.) Lossless and Highr res files:
You may get lossless flac if you rip CD's to your comp using tools like DB poweramp.
You may get lossles flac via Streaming services, I.e. with Qobuz, Tidal ...
You may buy lossless/HR files from your favourite music at Bandcamp, Qobuz etc
You may find sources/links with high res material for testing in these threads here:

and here, often the same music, but different formats, to find out the best format for your ears and your dac, soundwise:

Most of these sources offer much bigger choice as payable products.
Hope that helps.
Best regards, Tom

the magni 3 should drive the 600s plenty loud - to the point you'd have permanent hearing damage after 30 minutes.  Something is wrong with how the modi is being fed from your computer.  or the DAC itself could be defective and not putting out 2 volts to the Magni.

really, a PC>MODI>MAGNI>HD600 is a very fine entry level headphone setup and should play extremely loud and well controlled.

and yes, welcome to CA my friend!

@buonassi

I'd reckon he's got some time left before he may face the problem you have described. ?

Cheers Tom

I think you brought some good value gear. I would guess that something like a Dragonfly Red or a good USB card will increase your audio systems SQ a bit more, for not that much more money. It can be brought second hand later if you ever get the desire.

id recommend making sure in windows sound settings the sample rate is set to 44.1kHz for the modi. On youtube HD videos have higher audio bitrate too, but sometimes the source audio will be bad anyway.

I like the HD-600 a great deal.  I drive them with a Ragnarok 1. One day a friend lent me a BH Crack w/ speedball, and these went from good classical cans to excellent on most things.  Amazingly the octave from 30-60 Hz appears, sound stage improved, and the sort of tight presentation gets all liquid, and 3D.  All my other cans are planars, and the BHC doesn't do any good on those, but the kit is cheap, and the sound is right behind my HE6se/Rag 1/Gungnir 1/LG v40/Tidal MQA.
