Kispschorn speakers in LA Time story about music bars

Thanks for posting that.  Interesting idea that I hope takes off.

 

I knew of a disco club in the late 1970's that had 4 K-horns mounted in the roof above the colored lights around the dance floor.  All driven by a NAD 3020.  It could get loud.  

 

The shame of course was all they played was that awful disco music.  I hated it.

This resonates so true, I wish I had thought of it.  Music WAS the entertainment for me and select compadres back in the days before MTV.  Now it seems impossible to find any new friends who are music-oriented anywhere near the same way.

I remember bumper stickers in 1979-1980: "Disco is dead. Long live rock 'n' roll!"

 

Great quote from Carl Sagan, by the way.  It is timeless, but it has never been more apropos than it is now unfortunately.
