old_bassist
I have the Tidal app on my iPhone 6S and it shows up on the CarPlay screen in my 2018 Mazda3 no problem. I also have the Onkyo HF Player app on my phone and, while I do have some control over the app in the CarPlay interface, there is no HF Player icon in CarPlay. Is it possible to integrate HF Player more tightly with CarPlay? old_bassist
I asked this on a Mazda forum and got a reply saying the iPhone needs to be jailbreaked (jailbroke? jailbroken? jailbroked?) for this to work. Oh well... kirkmc
CarPlay only supports a very limited number of apps. I don't know if jailbreaking a device would give access to more apps, but it's probably not worth doing it just for that. old_bassist 1 I write about Macs, music, and more at Kirkville.
