MINI PURE-DC-4EVR (“MINI”) is the world’s first patent-pending, isolated ultracapacitor power supply with super-regulated DC output voltage. Your MINI replaces the stock “wall-wort” AC-DC power adapters that are commonly used to feed products that take a DC input voltage. [For example: the Sonore microRendu and other small computer modules, USB cards, dacs, preamps, headphone amplifiers, and even small amplifiers and other products &amp; DIY projects requiring fairly low DC voltage(s)]
MINI provides isolated, pure DC power with very low output impedance, high bandwidth and excellent transient response characteristics. Just like with our revolutionary LIO modular audio platform, our patent-pending PURE-DC-4EVR circuitry utilized two banks of ultracapacitors. While one bank of ultracapacitors is feeding isolated DC current to the linear super-regulated output, the other bank is charging. The bank feeding the output is NEVER connected to the charging ultracapacitor bank and is 100% isolated from the AC mains at all times. This revolutionary design by Vinnie Rossi provides dramatic performance and durability advantages over every other power supply technology available - whether it is AC (linear or SMPS) or battery power!
Each MINI PURE-DC-4EVR is hand-built and factory configured to meet your specific input and output voltage requirements. It also includes a built-in linear regulated charging circuit for the ultracapacitor banks.
