Making Spotify Sound Better?

I have returned to Spotify, lured back by my preference for their great curated playlists and their really good Connect app for convenience.  I am conceding the better sound quality of Tidal.  I am also back on my Macbook Pro after trying out another streamer as I like the versatility of the MBP.  I have searched this forum and online and there is not much info specifically related to optimizing Spotify.

So my question is what are you all doing to optimize the SQ of Spotify?

 

So far what I have done is to dig up my old license for Amarra SQ+ after searching this topic online.  I do think SQ+ does polish the sound and give options for optimizing with the EQ and AC functions.  I have a new Qutest DAC and a nice short Wireworld USB cable.  I cut down my speaker cables from 8' down to 4' to reduce resistance (and make a neater mess of wires).
