USBridge is now a brick after DietPi 6.10 update

Recommended Posts

I just updated my USBridge to DietPi 6.10 through the Allo GUI and now my USBridge will not boot.  I can see that it is getting power and sometimes the lights flash on the ethernet port but the unit is completely unresponsive.  Not sure what to do from here.

I had a spare microSD card which I flashed with the new 6.10 image and installed the microSD card in my USBridge and all is working now.   I prefer to have the device running off a microSD card so I am happy and good now.  I think the issue was that the update was not done when I rebooted and thus corrupted the device.

Those instructions give me a headache.  My way works too.  I am now running on a microSD card and actually prefer this as I can swap cards to upgrade instead of bricking my unit like I did the last time.  I think that Allo makes great hardware but not so great on the software side.  I fully believe that the Allo GUI caused my issue.  Note that no one from Allo has weighed in at all on this.
