ricko01
Been playing my rips for many years via ethernet streaming but have not tried USB. I now have a DAC that supports USB Audio Class 2 input (max 192KHz/24Bit asynchronous) so want to play around and tweak with this. I run Fedora Spins KDE on my silent PC (which is in my audio rack) and Pulse audio is disabled. This has been confirmed via looking at Kodi before and after Pulse audio was disabled and now it only sees my DAC over ALSA. Now my question is: to take advantage of the asynchronous nature of USB, do I need to do anything with the ALSA config or will it automatically become a slave to my DAC? Thanks, Peter Link to comment
mansr
ALSA automatically handles USB Audio Class DACs with no additional configuration. Link to comment
