Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5

What is your favorite version of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 (Emperor)?

I very much like Andsnes and have recommended his box many times, including here: https://musicophilesblog.com/2015/11/29/my-top-5-classical-albums-of-2015/

 

However, on no. 5 in particular I’m still thinking it could use a bit more power. 

 

Same goes for Sudbin above, which I also like a lot. 

 

I still haven’t found my ultimate version for it. Worth doing some comparatives listening so I’ll report back. 

 

NB. I have the Gilels and Arrau mentioned above as well, both are obviously Beethoven legends. I still need to check out ABM.

I have now listened to both the Gilels and Ashkenazy versions and both are very good.  Ashkenazy has tremendous power in his playing that matches the style of the conductor very well.
