Frojo
I have recently introduced an thunderbolt to ethernet dongle to my Mac mini in order to stream direct to an ultraRendu, with pleasing results, however the system appears to have lost the ability to 'wake up' from sleep. The Mac mini is headless and I rely on VNC for management so i am stymied in these circumstances. I anyone able to suggest a fix other than stopping the mini from sleeping? Grateful for any help Link to comment
mjb
This question is asked on Apple’s support site, and apparently the adapter doesn’t support wake on lan. The Thunderbolt interface can’t wake the Mac. Link to comment
Frojo
Thanks mjb, i have searched support but thought it was worth posting here in the hope another 'bridger' might provide an insight. I can understand /accept that the dongle might have a limitation, but am surprised if it compromises the native ethernets port's functionality. Link to comment
