PJ07
Just curious. If I go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage on my iPhone 6 Plus, I see that I have about 26.1 GB available (see image below). But when I plug my iPhone into my Mac and open iTunes, I see that I have about 11.9 GB available. Which number is correct? Why do the iPhone and Mac iTunes report two different numbers for the same device? Thx Link to comment
dalethorn
I'm not sure of your case, but I've had mismatches between iTunes and my devices, and in the end I either had to erase and reload the devices, or figure out which songs or videos were considered valid by one end (computer or device) and not valid on the other end. I've had to manually delete music tracks in some cases to get the numbers to match. Link to comment
kirkmc
This is a long-standing and notorious issue with iOS devices. In general, it's the device's storage shown on the device that is correct. As above, restoring the device can reset that. I've also found that sometimes restarting a device can fix problem. I write about Macs, music, and more at Kirkville.
