Eagles: The Studio Albums 1972-1979 - 24/96

I just bought the Eagles "The Studio Albums 1972-1979" in 24/96 from HDTracks. It was on sale and I had a 15% off code.

 

I have to say that I am quite pleased with the mastering and the sound quality. I am hearing things that I never heard before even from my Red Book rips. I thought about buying the 24/192 version but I could not justify the cost difference.

 

Anyone else buy this and have any opinions?

I've got the same collection in 24/96. The Eagles are one of those few bands that I never get tired of hearing and I listen to the whole collection in its entirety probably once a month. So to say I'm quite pleased with it would probably be an understatement.

 

In terms of SQ I find the collection to be good enough for my purposes. I wouldn't classify them as being the best sounding albums I own but they are certainly quite a bit better then average. IMO, the beauty of the Eagles is that it doesn't even need to sound good to be good and if this download collection could suffer wear and tear my copy would be well worn out by now
