TunesLad
Can anyone explain why a MPEG track from two different albums of the same song are rated at different volumes: +0.6db and -5.6db. If the file is a digital recording, what do these numbers mean, as I set a device's volume? Is it some digital instruction? Does it control a device in some way? I thought I control volume on a device. Why have a volume setting if I control a device volume? Link to comment
kirkmc
In iTunes, it's the adjustment that would be applied if you turn on Sound Check. It doesn't affect anything else.
