The_K-Man
No thoughts on this very real issue affecting legacy(pre-1990) albums and artists? Link to comment
wwaldmanfan
I'm not on Facebook, so I can't read the comments there. As a rule, when I have the original albums, I don't bother with remasters. They are a worthwhile improvement when the originals were compressed, like Tom Petty's more recent albums ("Wildflowers", and those that followed). Other good ones in my library include the 2014 Beatles Mono Box, Steven Wilson's Jethro Tull "Stand Up", the Rhino/Electra Doors remasters, and some of the MFSL discs. Link to comment
Ralf11
It's too bad there are not a lot of review sites on which ones are really better - S Hoffman can be hit or miss but seems to be the best one right now. Of course, I don't really care as my magic liquid cables re-create the original performance no matter what Link to comment
