ME-Geithain ME 901k1 speakers

Does anyone have experience with [url=http://www.me-geithain.de/index.php/en/highend/products/active-loudspeaker/me-901k1]these[/url] speakers?

 

Sometime in the future I want to upgrade my speakers. These were recommended to me. But not sure if pro audio speakers are suitable for home listening. Does anyone have experience with these (kind of) speakers?

I own the 901ka. Preety much the same speaker but with the amp out of the chassis. while I can't comment on that, meg speakers are known for sounding, all the same, obviously, the smaller models have less bass -but the sound character is comparable throughout the models.

I can tell you that these speakers make home listening a terrific experience. even with the lowest volumes, you can hear an awesome dynamic. I never managed to get the overpower indicator to show red but I can tell you that they also sound great when playing loud.

Of course that's subjective, so since they play rather neutral, it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Speakers, more than any other component, are an individual preference. Take all the advice and recommendations that you want, however, in the end nothing will satisfy better than a long listening trial in your own room with your own ancillary equipment and music. If that's not possible then get as close to that as you can.
