we know that musical ability is well correlated with mathematical ability, so someone could attempt to create mental music and miss, thereby creating instead thoughts about the real line, and thinking about the real line drove Georg Cantor insane, so....

Interesting but I'd rather see an instrument playing the music I imagine (hear in my head). Maybe one day..

I can hear music from about 3AM until 4AM.  I wake up and enjoy the latest ear worm.  Sometimes I write a song. Thankfully, it is mostly forgotten by morning.
