diver110
I am away from home for several months. I recently bought the Mytek Brooklyn, with which I have been very happy so far. I am an MQA fan, though I know many think it is hocus pocus. What can I tell you, I trust my ears. I bought the Brooklyn in part because it is transportable but also sounds great in my component system. While away in Denver, I have been listening to it with my Sennheiser 650s. Not bad, but not all that satisfying. At home (with admittedly great speakers, Legacy Aeris), I usually have a hard time getting myself to turn the system off and go to bed. With the 650s, not so much. Has anyone found an optimal HP for the Brooklyn in, say, the $1000 range. I mostly listen to classical and what I would call ballad singers (e.g. Eva Cassidy). I once compared the Focal Elears with the 650s, and thought the Elears won handily. But it was a brief comparison and was not done with the Brooklyn. Link to comment
