Plus, what happened to Melco's promised control app? I first heard this was due for release last spring. Has it been abandoned?

We just became a dealer, so I don't have any information about their control app. As of right now only 2 models are being imported to the US, but I'm happy to ask about any new models that may be introduced in the coming months. I'll update this thread when I have something to report.

What's this "dreaded network" stuff? Mine's worked fine since they delivered the router four years ago. And if you can plug in a kettle you can set up a network. It's only plugging a few wires in.

"No PC required" How are you going to rip disks, buy downloads, or subscribe to a streaming service without one?

Not sure I understand the comment regarding the switching power supply.  Is that a blanket statement, or is there a specific reason for this comment?  I can't get into the weeds here, but there is more than one way to skin a cat.  What's important is the implementation and end result.  I wouldn't judge a book by its cover, if you will.

Sold my N1A months after they appeared on UK market many years ago. Melco were talking about possible control app even back then. Used the Lumin app with my Melco, not ideal but basic functions worked OK with it.
