Latest Sony PS4 update can play FLAC files!

I just got word that Sony's latest update for the PS4 can allow it to play back HiRes FLAC files as well as upscale compressed audio to near HiRes quality. The update also allows it to work with the new PlayStation VR headset. Hooray for HiRes!

It's really not high res when you do it that way. When you take a low res file and upsample it to something higher, you don't get better SQ. All its doing is filling up space with non audio information in order to increase the file size, and make it appear to be a high res format, so whatever playback software you are using will play it. You can't get something from nothing.

I have 3 upsampling CD players. Wadia 861SE, Wadia 302 and an Arcam 33.
