V0.1.15 was strange in that re-upgrading many times eventually resulted in a MPD that would start. V0.1.16 is not so fortunate as there are missing buffer input and output values in mpd.conf and MPD will never start. Link to comment

JS-2 with Stammheim's single ps got to be good! ? My thoughts with a LPS-1.2 powering sMS-200Ultra is similar. I plan to use Alexey's 12v/1A board post LPS-1.2...if it will work that is. Otherwise I will go for Stammheim's single ps in series. I have another LPS-1.2 coming that I will use in a Ghent JSSG DC Y-split with Kelvin output shunt regulators, feeding Aqvox switch and BluWave's GI Spdif output. 🎛️ Audio System Link to comment

flkin
Thanks for the info, I've already written to Stammhein earlier to ask him about supplying the single boxed with 2.1mm connectors on both ends. Hope he is able to, not too keen unboxed (yes, it's pretty basic I know and there may be heat concerns etc). Already using a boxed LT3045/1A (sPS-500) supplying my sMS-200mod but afraid there isn't enough headroom with only 1A. Using 2 Stammheins in series is serious - I thought the jitter was already too little to matter after one pass? Would there be a concerned about increasing impedance when you chain them like that? More important, did it sound better...? Cornan 1 PinkFaun - Vinnie Rossi - YBA - QSA Lanedri - Wilson Link to comment

I'll upload v0.4.16 image on our website today. I'll notice you when we upload v0.4.16. And could you explain the detail about wifi? I can not understand about it. Link to comment
kopelli
Thank you. The only concern with my WiFi is if it goes down while it’s updating, thus potentially leaving the SMS in an unstable state. I thus prefer burning the OS onto an SD card separately. The other advantage would be having an SD card with an older OS on it as a backup, in case the update is not entirely stable. I have plans to make a boxed full blown power supply using a balanced safety IT. I also know Michael have plans for a complete package as well. The difference in SQ using two single ps in series compared to one is not subtile in my setup. What you´ll need to know is that the lab psu I use (Gophert csp-3205II) is a floating SMPS that is connected to a balanced safety IT plus DC blocker trap filter, so it is pretty isolated from the AC mains. Furthermore, all my audio devices (incl. main router) have LT3045 boards in series in the DC path powered by floating PSUs (SMPS and LPSU). 🎛️ Audio System Link to comment
Nouchka
Hi! Does someone know if some micro SDcard are better (regarding sound quality) than the default one? If yes (if the change worth it), which card is advised, and what kind of difference can I get? Thanks! David Link to comment

I use an attached USB drive so that may explain the higher current demand. It also happens during a firmware update. What I can confirm from testing various power LPS's is that the SMS-200 + Ultra like a bit of extra current headroom. I would suggest 3A as a minimum and 5A is even better. Link to comment

It certainly looks well built with some decent heat sinks to boot. Link to comment

Nouchka
Hi! Since the last update of the sms-200, the DHCP always activate by itself, which make the unit not reachable because I use a direct connection to my NAS. So, each time I have to connect to EUNHASU page, deactivate the DCHP and restart the unit ... then it is reachable again and I can listen to my music. Do you also have this issue? Link to comment
Boomboy
are you on version 4.16 ? Link to comment

Nouchka
I Start/Shutdown my NAS each morning / evening, so it is possible that the SMS-200 activate the DHCP when the NAS start (I use a bridge connection) and my NAS is based on a Windows 2016. Link to comment

phusis
Two days ago upgraded to V0.4.16, and had to make a second install for DLNA to work. Yesterday I started up the sMS-200 Ultra again and DLNA started automatically - wonderful, all seemed to be OK. Then today I'm at it again for some music listening, but this time around DLNA won't start automatically - not even manually. Reboot doesn't help. Upgrade installed for a third time, to no avail. OK, I've had it. I'll do my last recovery to V0.4.0 (a rather lengthy process..), at least with this specific issue, and call it a day. Why is V0.4.16, that worked OK these last two days, suddenly not working again? There's obviously an issue here that hasn't been sorted out by the SOtM engineers. @may.park Perhaps a remote session, trying to fix the issue, with one of your engineers is called for? That being said I don't understand why the problem has to be dealt with locally when so many have the same issue? Boomboy
I've been finding 4.14 ok and i wont be going past it . It was recommended to me by sotms engineer to update to 4.16 after i reflashed the filmware on my sd card .. but i dont see how that would help as it seems like a procedure ive already done .. @phusis was 4.14 ok for you ? When i stream my internet radio station via a .pls into mpd after about 3 hours it stops and then plays a flac file . Weird huh ? But i can live with it . Link to comment

Yes, thank you - V0.4.14 runs like a charm (and good it does for you too) After recovery to V0.4.0 the upgrade to V0.4.14 went trouble free. mikeyb
Anyone else having issues with Spotify Connect? I can’t get it to work from iPad or Android devices. Have reinstalled SoTM software and still nothing. I can get the Amazon Fire Tv Spotify app to join to the SoTm but I get no audio to DAC even though Spotify shows that the track is playing. Im wondering if the latest Spotify update on iOS and Android has caused the issue. Link to comment
