My Audiostreamer DIY Project

I just finished my DIY audiostreamer. The base is an AsRock motherboard with onboard processor (Q1900-ITX), wide PicoPSU, 3 linear power supplies (PSU) for the mobo, the ssd and the PPA USB V2 Card (Paul Pang). I made linear PSU’s based on the sigma 11 DY project by AMB laboratories (USA). Currently, I have installed Daphile. More info and photo's on:

I have been Daphile for some time. Will you use it wired or with wireless adaptor?

 

Facing issues with wireless adaptors. Daphile many a times does not recognize or does not initialize it and then I have to restart. On some occasions the wireless adaptor will just stop communicating with the wireless router and a restart will solve the issue

 

I initially thought there is some issue with my wireless adaptor but faced exactly same issues when I installed daphile in friends pc

 

You may tried wired and see if there is any issue

I use it wired, so I have not experience with wireless. The wired connections to my network, NAS and tablet are working flawless. But it has cost me a number of evenings and worries to make the NFS connecttion with my NAS working.

Does this machine works purely as a server or server cum player?

 

Also if you dont mind can you share more details on the Linear power supply kit you are using

it looks very good, congrats. what control points do you use?

does the 250gb stores all your media or is just a "big cache" for your playlist?

My music collection is on a NAS, so I use it as a player only. I am about to test SQ differences between using the NAS (and stream from Daphile RAM) and internal ssd.

What do you mean by control points?

 

the 250gb ssd now has the daphile OS. And another section is for music. I read that most experts advertise that music files and OS should on dfferent ssd's. Maybe I try that later.

Nice system Pieterp, very impressive

 

I am using Daphile latest beta with wifi, no issues or disconnections. My router is using ddwrt and the adapter is a usb netgear type.
