After a long drought in terms of finding music that fits this genre, I think I've found another treasure.  "Mamoru Fujisawa known professionally as Joe Hisaishi, is a Japanese composer and musical director known for over 100 film scores and solo albums dating back to 1981. Hisaishi is also known for his piano scores." 

 

Huge repertoire to explore including a few albums on TIDAL.

I haven't heard anything else from this cd but thought you may want to explore further. Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but worth checking him out imo. I have "The Bells" from 2009 which is pretty much all solo piano.

I know some more of his recordings and quite like them but I think I prefer the simple minimalism of A Cerulean State which I recommended here some time ago. BTW both are available in hi res versions.

I like Daigo Hanada's album Ichiru.

Sounds like a modern Erik Satie.

Recommended.
