Sony PCMD-100 to archive vinyl to DSD?

I have been thinking about solutions to archive vinyl to DSD now that I have a Lumin that can handle DSD. In the past I had thought about the Korg MR1000/2000. The Sony PCMD100 looks interesting as it is a field recorder and therefore has some potentially other uses (like field recording...duh). Does anyone have experience with using the D100 to rip vinyl to DSD? I would like to understand the workflow. Of course ripping vinyl is a real time process...but if I record to DSD is there an easy way to divide into tracks and tag the files? I know there is a track button on the D100 but that would mean having to hit it in real time while recording...That would be pretty prone to error. Maybe you can transfer the DSD files to my Macbook Air and perform track splitting and tagging there?

I am just trying to determine if this is a good path to go down or look elsewhere (i.e. ADC and Vinyl Solutions, Korg MR2000, etc)

Thanks for your input

I record to PCM (24:96 or 24:192) using a Linx Hilo, I also use Vinyl Studio for track breaks and tagging, and an occasional cleanup using Izotope's RX3. All of this manipulation requires PCM. I then send this to DSD through HQP.

I would be interested to see what kind of DSD solutions you can come up with. From what I have read there are no editors (audio cleanup, track cuts, etc.) using native DSD.

Analog: Koetsu Rosewood > VPI Aries 3 w/SDS > EAR 834P > EAR 834L: Audiodesk cleaner

Digital Fun: DAS > CAPS v3 w/LPS (JRMC) SOtM USB > Lynx Hilo > EAR 834L

Digital Serious: DAS > CAPS v3 w/LPS (HQPlayer) Ethernet > SMS-100 NAA > Lampi DSD L4 G5 > EAR 834L

Digital Disc: Oppo BDP 95 > EAR 834L

Output: EAR 834L > Xilica XP4080 DSP > Odessey Stratos Mono Extreme > Legacy Aeris

Phones: EAR 834L > Little Dot Mk ii > Senheiser HD 800

I understand the Korg MR 2000 is no longer being manufactured

The TASCAM DA 3000 is an interesting unit as it does 24/192 and DSD 128

Product: DA-3000 | TASCAM

The interesting features of this unit are that it only reads and writes to SD or CF cards, no hard drive, and it has a linear power supply. These two aspects could well put itself ahead of the Korg unit

Gearslutz has a few threads about this unit

There is a factory rebate running until December 31, 2014

Unfortunately this unit in Europe for 220-240 volt is a lot more expensive and no factory rebate :-(
