kramnotwen
Hi folks, For a number of reasons one of my Macs remains on Snow Leopard. Yesterday I took delivery of a Qute EX DAC but unfortunately after being told that the driver installed correctly, 5 playback attempts using Audirvana + resulted in 5 kernel panics. Chord's service has been first rate and they are assessing backwards compatibility of the driver as I type. In advance of their response, is anyone successfully using the Qute EX under Snow Leopard and, if so, was anything out of the ordinary required to be done in order to get up and running? FYI the EX is not faulty as it is working brilliantly with Win 7 and JRiver 19. Any help greatly appreciated. Happy listening, Mark Link to comment
Audio_ELF
Not sure if it will work - but can you try the older Qute HD drivers? Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
