hdlistener
Just purchased the debut album at this (previously unavailable) sample rate. To my ears, this sounds like the album should be sounding in high-def. I was underwhelmed by the HDTracks 24/96, and think this version makes the 24/96 version sound like a redbook cd. http://www.e-onkyo.com/music/album/wnr28538/ Link to comment
firedog
DR numbers? Can you provide them? The HDT hi-res was ruined for me by the volume compression. If this doesn't have it, I'll cough up the bucks. I saw there is also the CSN reunion album there in hi-res, which I'm also interested in. Anyone have any info on this release, and if/how the master differs from the HDT? Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three . Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup. Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare. All absolute statements about audio are false Link to comment
hdlistener
I have Audacity, but don't know how to use it to measure DR. If anyone here can offer assistance with that I'll be happy to check the files and report back. Link to comment

firedog
Well, I have the older Redbook Gold CD remaster from AFZ, it sounds good and has a DR of 12. Think I'll stick with that. It sounds better than the HDT hi-res to me. tne
Yes they ( e-onkyo ) are legit and offer some very nice music. I picked up the Stones Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street in 24 bit 192 kHz from there and they sound great. You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star Link to comment
