supernaut76
On Lion currently. I'm downloading Mountain Lion for OSX hoping Audionirvana will be able to talk to the AE then. Will this work, or do I need Apple TV? Link to comment
supernaut76
Of course I could use Airfoil, but I really dislike the audio quality from it and would much rather just use iTunes if that's the case. Link to comment
supernaut76
Oh and I'm using a OSX on a Powerbook core-i5. Airport is a 802.11g. Link to comment
supernaut76
OK I've just installed Mountain Lion and Airplay works fine with my really old airport express 802.11g. Streaming using integer mode on Audirvana integrated with iTunes. Just need to set up Airplay as preferred device as Airplay under 802.11g. Also your Mac needs to be Core-i processor built after say mid 2012. Sounds heavenly! Thanks for all the amazing help I've had here so far. Not! Link to comment
wgscott
You haven't asked anything, but if you are hearing anything other than 16 bit, 44.1 kHz out your airport express, or you hear a difference with "integer" playback with this thing, then you are well on the way to developing the required belief system. supernaut76
Huh? Question in the title and in the text. I only ever play CD rips so whether or not there is a ceiling at 16/44.1 is academic to me. Nope I haven't tried to gauge the difference between integer mode and non-integer. I suspect that neither my ears or my current set-up would allow me to tell the difference if any, so I'll just stick it on integer mode for good measure. Link to comment
