Julf
I wonder how (and in what format) it was recorded. Link to comment
firedog
Well, doesn't look like they heavily volume compressed it. Frequencies seem to go up to only about 25K, sort of surprising for a modern recording. But maybe that's just the nature of the music and the instrumentation themselves (haven't heard the album). Wonder if it sounds good...that's what the graphs can't tell you. Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three BXT Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup. Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare. All absolute statements about audio are false Link to comment
spdif-usb
The 5.1 surround 24/96 TrueHD tracks are actually 16-bit, padded with zeros. You can check using eac3to (with the -analyzebitdepth option). If you had the memory of a goldfish, maybe it would work. Link to comment

spdif-usb
Amazing, what a crap! The 2.0 stereo 24/96 tracks are actually not at all bad, though. If you had the memory of a goldfish, maybe it would work. Link to comment
