Mac Mini & TC Impact Twin setup

Hello,

 

I have been reading occasionally on these forums and I always enjoy and appreciate learning.*

 

This is my first post here...

 

I recall reading that a handful of users around here have a TC Impact twin connected to a Mac mini. *

My hope is that some of you would please explain how to setup the impact twin.*

 

I am not familiar with pro audio devices or terminology for that matter, and I have difficulties understanding what the ideal settings would be for a simple conversion from FireWire to spdif.

Infact I simply would like to connect the Mac mini and the TC via FireWire and than spdif out directly to my speakers.*

 

The options on the software TC Near software and buttons on the device are too many and overwhelming to me. And the manual is about getting the "job" done.

Anyone's help or screenshot about their settings would be really greatly appreciated.*

I see it has been a while since your post. I recently purchased a TC Impact Twin and have been experimenting with it in my system. If you have figured out the various ways of incorporating it into your system, I would appreciate any assistance you could offer. If not, I'll let you know what I've come up with so far as I continue to make connections.
