yardbird4
Chris

What would really be fun for those of us that did not attend would be if you could post on this cite any white papers or brochures you may have obtained on the topics listed above, if you indeed have any. john dozier
I suggest that anyone really interested in the history and future of audio, join the AES. They have always been at the forefront of audio innovation. Link to comment

At the Tuesday 23 November 2010 meeting John Vanderkooy will present "a review of the papers presented at this year's AES conventions in San Francisco. For those who couldn't attend the conventions, this is an excellent opportunity to get an overview of the papers presented in an informative and digestible format.

Various Workshop, Tutorials, Master class and Exhibition Floor reviews from the convention will be provided by AES Chair Sy Potma and other exec members as time permits."

Members and guests are welcome--details at torontoaes.org Toshiba Satellite P300 laptop--Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit--M2TECH hiFace USB-S/PDIF interface-->coaxial output cable--> MacBook Pro--Sierra--optical output cable--> Raspberry Pi 2--Pixel--USB output cable--> Simaudio MOON 100D DAC (USB, coaxial and optical connections in use)--Yamaha RX-V640 receiver --Grant Fidelity Tube DAC-09 (with NOS Raytheon 5670)--used as bypassable vacuum tube preamp stage--Topping TP60 stereo power amplifier--one pi bass reflex speakers--homebuilt--plans from Wayne at pispeakers.com --QSC model 5.1 stereo power amplifier--ACI Rage 12" subwoofer in homebuilt sealed 2 ft^3 enclosure --Denon AH-A100 headphones Link to comment
yardbird4
That is a good suggestion for a number of reasons. After I made the suggestion that Chris post any material he may have received at the AES Convention on this site, I went to the AES website and noted that they have their written papers for sale so any posting on this site without their permission is probably a copyright violation. Looks like if you want to read their material you gotta pay the price, although some of the material may be for public dissemination. Link to comment
