Desktop speakers and USB hub

Whilst prowling the interweb for a new USB hub for my Powerbook and Cinema Display set up, I wondered if there was something more interesting I could do. Does anyone know of a desktop speaker/hub combination? I admit, this is partly driven by jealousy at the sound my partner is getting from her new iMac.

but it looks rather clanky and I have no need for anything portable. You'll see from this that I am not seeking high end monitors, just reasonable sound and added convenience. And I know Apple have got there before me with their new 24" ACD.
