Analog doesn't equal tape. Going from digital to an analog console then to another digital format is a popular way to do things. The Pearl Jam high resolution shows are done this way.

Since Meitner makes D to A and A to D converters and Gus said the DSD was derived from analog without file format conversion, I'm making an assumption.

It actually doesn't contradict the previous statement. The mix master was digital, converted to analog and into DSD.

The DSD download label is Analogue Productions and the FLAC download label is Columbia. I wonder if Analogue Productions created the DSD version and Columbia created the PCM version?

hi jumbo - Yes, it should work exactly like you expect. Plus, you can use JRemote on a tablet to control playback as well.

Many things can be renderers including a Windows PC. You can setup JRiver to be a renderer very easily.

Hi firedog - I'm looking into dBpoweramp for this right now and it appears that it will convert DSD into a DoP file rather than a straight PCM file. Is this correct?
