Do you think $650 for a PS3 that you can rip SACDs without worry of YLOD (as many as you please)and is cabable of backing up PS3 games to internal HDD as well as playing the games for hours non-stop is over-priced? I have taken all the risk, worry and stess out of the process - insuring SACD playback, correct model and correct FW. I have taken the entire machine apart and cleaned and installed new/modified parts to prevent overheating and to silence the noise. I have installed and tested all custom software needed for backing up SACD and PS3 games. Paying $250 - $300 for a un-modified PS3 is a crap shoot at best (as you know since you only rip 2 discs at a time and have purchased another machine as a backup)
BTW $650 was just a guess as the costs of procurring these machines and to put them in a modified state is a moving target.
