  1. I've just ordered 2 x AudioQuest Hard RCA Splitter (RCA M to 2 RCA F) from Future Shop for the job, so very excited to get some serious power behind my system. Thanks you guys for your help in pointing me in the right direction with this. Wiggy
  2. I think I have this nailed now... ................................> (y splitter) > MF amp line in right > sp1 DAC analog out right > ................................> (y splitter) > T amp line in right> sp2 Then same for left?
  3. I want to get this correct as I am afraid of blowing something up or causing dangerous connections for the equipment and for long-term safety!
  4. Aha ok David, so do you mean not going via tape out at all like so... .............................> (y splitter) > MF amp > speakers1 Computer > DAC > .............................> (y splitter) > T amp > speakers2 I was imagining... ...........................................> speakers1 Computer > DAC > MF amp > ...........................................> (tape out) > T amp > speakers2
  5. Thanks for replying guys... My source is a headless mac mini. At the moment I have vintage B&W DM2 and B&W 600i speakers both (ridiculously under)powered by a technics SA-GX 130D 50wpc amp and running through a musical fidelity DAC. l am in a long room, with one pair of speakers at each end. I have just bought a musical fidelity A5 integrated amp (250wpc) which I want to run the DM2s and connect the technics amp to the MF amp to run the 600s. I want them all to play the same source material and for the entire output be converted by the DAC. I'm a newbie at all this and don't really undersand what PewterTA is saying I'm afraid, so please be very low tech in your replies if possible!! lol Thank you )
  6. That's rather disappointing. 74 views but no replies. This is my very first post. Does no one know the answer to my questions?
  7. Hi there, I have a couple of simple questions... In order to use two amplifiers, each to power a separate pair of speakers, would I connect the second amp by connecting tape rec out on the "main" amp to a line in on the second (less powerful) amp? Would my DAC (connected to the main amp) still be effective for all output? Sorry if these sound like dorkish questions, and thank you in anticipation. Wiggy
