  1. I should have posted a new topic previously... This sounds like a great project, and just the right thing for my growing interest in High Res digital audio. I've built PCs from scratch a number of times, but I'm a little confused about some details of this specialized project. I assume a keyboard, mouse and GUI display are needed for initial set-up of Windows. But, in routine use, how does one set up Windows and the MB BIOS to (1) ignore the absence of the keyboard and mouse, (2) automatically launch the J River media center application? How does the media center application display on the VFD so one can navigate the music library? For that matter, how does one define the location of music files for the media center application with such a simple user interface? Or am I missing some fundamental details? Thanks! Ren
  2. This sounds like a really neat music server. Just the thing. Sorry if this info is posted elsewhere... I couldn't find it. (1) How does one go about setting up a WIn7 PC to properly boot up, ignore the lack of a graphical display & keyboard, and automatically start the JRiver application? (2)Is there programming involved with getting the JRiver player to work with a 2 x 16 character alphanumeric display and remote? Thanks! Ren
