  1. Hehe... most of it is either very expensive or stuff I haven't heard of at all! I'll be going with a Stello U3 though, but then I still need a DAC... just sent my old one away, so no music for me! Right now I'm considering the Metrum Octave or Audiolab M-DAC, but I want to read some more reviews before ordering either of them. Also, they have very different feature set - which one I want depends on what I end up with in the other end, if I need built in preamp or not
  2. Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Got some pointers on setting up the server-side from: http://www.jumpnowtek.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=55 Biggest issue I had was that it wouldn't boot on the kernel included in the archlinux package. No idea what the problem was, since I have no serial cable, but I replaced the supplied with the sheeva image you linked as well, and then it worked just fine. Sweet! Now I just have to decide what DAC I should get so I can actually use it... Once again, thanks for the instructions!
  3. Thanks a lot for the information! Been searching for a how-to about this, but couldn't find one. I have a feeling I'm going to have to order a console cable before I've got this up and running, but I'll give it a shot first anyway I'll write here if I think of something others might be helped by... Only thing I can think of right now is to not start with this setup directly, but begin with a setup with a USB stick or something, to get a feel for how things work. If nothing else, one probably has to update the uBoot enviroment first anyway, see: http://www.jeff.doozan.com/debian/uboot/
