I think it might be the bit rate as well - given the Audio Midi defaults to 16bits - and I can't move it to 24bits.
Can you recommend a program that piggybacks onto iTunes?

MPEG-4 Audio Files to Apple MacBook, OS X 10.7.2 (Processor 2.8GHz, 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3), to Wavelength Crimson USBDAC to Hovland Preamp/Amp to Vince Christian Speakers.
The software is iTunes.
Has anybody had problems with the Crimson DAC on the Mac OS 10.7.2?
The sound is horrible - there's gotta be a bug - but when I disconnect the Crimson and use it on 10.6.4 it seems to work fine using the same hard drive. Also the warble is gone when I go out from the headphone jack so it's not the hard drive with the new computer.
I'm at a bit of a loss.
Any ideas?
