I stopped trying to parallel process things, keeping only one rip/save going at a time. That seems to work. Now the files are saving where they are supposed to. More time consuming but it works. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, still not working. I was able to rip three SACDs; however, I can only find the files for one the rips. The workflow is that I open the file iso2dsd_gui.exe. The selections remain as they were the previous use (server input, dual, Sony DSF). I don't know what Print means or why it's checked. I place the SACD in the drawer. AutoPlay is off. IP address has not changed. I hit execute, and the ripping begins. 15-20 minutes later, the ripping ends. So far so good. But then, I don't see the new folder. The first rip showed a folder, but that folder has now disappeared. the second folder (DSOTM) never showed. The third rip created a folder Plays Live Highlights, but that folder is empty. I was once prompted whether I wanted to archive the files. Initially I said no; second time for Layla I said yes and it worked. For Dark Side of the Moon, I was never prompted to archive the files, and no folder ever appeared. For the third rip, Peter Gabriel Plays Live, a folder was created Plays Live Highlights, but it is empty. Ripping is completed, as shown below. What am I supposed to do then. Plays Live Highlights folder is not visible on the drive I created called SACD. It is however, visible if I re-open the of the iso2dsd zip download. However, when I click through there is nothing there, and the following "extraction" starts. But when it ends, I still can't find any music files.

Figured it out. Chose archive, and there hey are.

Mikey, Apologies for my incompetence. I created the ISO2DSD folder as the instructions stated, in the root directory. However, I note that the type is WinRAR ZIP archive. I was prompted whether I wanted to archive these, and I clicked no. I think that may be why they're not showing up anywhere? This is what the ISO2DSD folder looks like. I don't see the ripped files. There's nothing in the MACOS folder.

Well, the files are ripping, but they're not being ripped into the SACD folder I created (in which the ISO program resides). A search of the computer does not turn them up. Any suggestions as to what I've done wrong?

Progress. I mistakenly believed that if the Oppo drawer opened up, then the USB stick part of the process was working. Turns out that the USB drive was not formatted as FT32. Reformatted, and off to the races.

I moved the connection to another LAN connection. Still getting the same result. I have searched this forum for a thread that address this problem, but did not find one, but I did not scroll through all 208 pages, so if it's there and someone can point me to it, please do so.

I have an Oppo105D US version. I got the drawer to open up. Inserted SACD, ran ISO2DSD. Didn't work. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong. I noticed that the "Print" box was ticked. I tried it ticked and unticked. Raw ISO or Sony DSF. Same result below. I initially had the Auto Play Mode and Auto Restart on, which I have now turned off. If I scratch the idea of using the iPod/iPad to hold/play my high res files, could I use a MacBook (or MacBook Air)? Will the MacBook behave like the iPod, and reject files over 16/44.1, or will it behave like my Mac desktop, and accept the high res files in iTunes?<br /> <br /> Alternatively, is there a portable player instead of the iPod that I could use with headphones on the train and/or plug into my DAC for playback through my system?

The error message was "the sample rate is not supported" (the original file was a 24/88.2 FLAC file).<br /> <br /> I wonder if the newest version of the iPod would make a difference? Yea, still not working. I switched the Max preferences to AIFF (Apple/SGI), using the "signed 16 bit PCM" encoder setting. My iPod still won't accept them.<br /> <br /> I think you are telling me that I can save files on my iPod as 24/48 files. But I don't see how to convert the HDtracks files to 24/48 in Max, with my confusion (i) starting with which file type to use (AIFF didn't work, and neither did AIFF (Apple/SGI)) and then (ii) continuing to how to set the sample rate at 48.<br /> <br /> I figure that if I can crack this, I will have convenience and pretty high resolution playback, which isn't bad.

That explains it. I converted FLAC files from HDtracks to 24/96 AIFF files. The best resolution I can get out of the iPod is 24/48?<br /> <br /> So I can use my Mac as a hi res server but not the iPod.

I followed your video (which was very nicely done). I got my new HD downloads into iTunes, but i can't transfer those songs to my iPod. I run my iPod through my Wadia iTransport 170i through a Cary Xciter into my regular system. So playing the 24-bit files is the goal.<br /> <br /> I tried to re-convert the files using the AIFF (Apple/SGI) file type, but that didn't work either.<br /> <br /> Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong?
