Hi, I'm running the Later MAC Mini (With HDMI) and its connected to a DAC Magic via a Toslink cable. So Far Ive been running it on windows 7 and found it to be fairly ok on the sound quality.
My question is...should I keep it running Windows 7 or would I get better sound from going back to OSX? or are there any Linux flavours out there that give a good sound?
Reason Im asking is Ive configured Windows 7 to output at 24 bit/192kHz but its stays at that bit rate all the time on the DAC, and doesnt change when Im playing lower bit rate files.
Any idea why this is happening or would moving to OSX solve this issue?
