  1. Minor problem - I leave my computer on but switch the DAC off - Amarra clears the Buffer Size field in settings.
  2. I have just upgraded to 2.6.6 from 2.5.3 on my Hackintosh and I now find that the page up/down no longer works on Library view. Using up/down arrows works in Expand All view but by the time it gets anywhere I have forgotten what I was looking for (another senior moment). Collapse All stops up/down arrows from working. However when I load Qobuz page up/down is working perfectly.
  3. Hi, I did post elsewhere details of a connector that I am hoping to use with my Regen, currently it sits between my iFi USB and iFi iDSD, works very well. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001U3ZP4M?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01

Is this of use? It is how I setup my Synology NAS. LinuxMint or Ubuntu: How to Automount Synology Shares | Ryan and Debi & Toren
  5. Pedant.......... but correct !! So if I take it to pieces and then use some of the flexible pcb mentioned earlier then I will (re-)claim "without cables".
  6. I do not yet have my Regen but I have been planning how to fit it between my pc and iFi iDSD micro dac WITHOUT using any cables. As a first step I purchased a flexible male to female adaptor, this I have fitted between an iFi iUSB unit and the iDSD and it works extremely well. It also shows that a right angle power adaptor is need for the Regen, this and a Male A to Male B adaptor are on order. I will try a mock-up with the iUSB acting as the Regen Flexible adaptor is :- http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-30501-FlexUSB-Adapter/dp/B0001LS3EI The connection between the two parts of the unit is a flat 4 core cable.
  7. Miska, thanks for that, I will give it a try tomorrow.
  8. I have the same problem, I reported it to iFi and they effectively said it is a feature and to use JRiver to add a second at the front - since I use HQPlayer it is something I will have to live with. Other players may also have the ability to add this second of silence by which time the dac is up to full volume. Just to be clear this is only occurs on the first track of an album, not every track.
  9. Miska, Sorry - I forgot all about that - thanks. Alan
  10. BubbleUPNP is only for Embedded HQP, for HQP Desktop I use the Microsoft Remote Desktop app (RD Client) on an ipad. There is no GUI for HQP at the moment to allow for a different interface. I do not have a problem as I am used to this style of interface without CD covers / Coverflow.
  11. There is no controlling Embedded HQP, you just start it and Rygel, end of story! I use BubbleUPNP (Android only) as the control point, as mentioned above, it has a nice interface Album Art etc.
  12. I basically followed Miska's instructions but it does need knowledge of Linux as you have to be able to move files around, unpack them, edit them etc. so if you have never used Linux or Unix at the command level it can be very frustrating. I am running HQPlayer under WS2012 with Audiophile Optimiser in Core mode along with NAA and it is very good. I just wanted to see what I could get out of Linux with all pcs running headless.
  13. Got it working - helps if you can spell "alsa"! I am currently using BubbleUPNP on an Amazon Fire HD which being non-standard Android mean only the free version is available - OK for testing. Over headphones through a Caiman dac the sound is very good; the pc I am using is not quite powerful enough to upsampled to 96k so once I tested using NAA I will transfer to the rig running HQPlayer full. OK I forget the point of the thread which is to get QOBUZ and Tidal etc working so that will also have to be tried before the transfer.. A much happier bunny.

Miska I sent a request to support last week for an Embedded licence, did you get it? Alan

I use RDClient app, it works extremely well. Just set the WS2012 machine to allow remote access, if using AO do not disable Remote Desktop. With AO I use TotalCommander as the desktop, with the next release there should be an HQPlayer specific desktop - I hope!
